 Robert M. Murphy founded Bob Murphy & Associates in February 1985. Having managed a large financial institution for 25 years and because of his involvement in the community chose to name the company after himself rather than an unfamiliar fictitious name. For accounting purposes in September 2002, Bob reorganized the company as Ocala Mortgage Group, LLC. This change also indicates the nature of the business and is less confusing to our customers and friends.
We are affiliated with more than 350 lenders who will make mortgage loans on any type property secured with real estate for the conforming to the sub-prime borrower.

Bob Murphy - President
Bob, his wife Paula and their three children relocated to Ocala in 1972. In 1965 shortly after Bob and Paula were married he entered the finance Industry.
He has held membership in several civic clubs and organizations while living in Marion County. When serving as a board member of the Boys Club of Marion County he established the Fast Break Basketball League and coached several of their Little League teams. In 1981 he started a relationship with Vanguard High School which remains to present day as Executive Director of the Kingdom of the Sun Basketball Tournament and past president of the Fast Break Club. He is also a life member and Hall of Fame member of the Ocala Bowling Association.
Bob obtained his Mortgage Brokers License in 1985 to assist those that were not familiar with obtaining mortgage financing and to help others by lowering interest rates on their existing mortgages. |

Brian L. Alvies – Vice President
Brian has 8 years experience in the mortgage financing industry with a wide variety of loan types. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Murray State University in Kentucky. Brian and his wife Anna have two
children, Courtland and Katelyn. |

Bill Rose - Senior Associate
Bill has 35 years experience in the mortgage financing industry as a residential, commercial and construction loan officer. He has worked in real estate sales and mortgage broker business. Bill completed his education at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. He and his wife Barbara have been residents of Ocala for 20 years. |

Powell Dingler - Senior Associate/Marketing and Business Development Manager
Powell has 25 years experience in the mortgage financing industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas. Powell is active in the Marion County Chamber of Commerce as their Chairperson of the Membership Development Committee. He and his wife Sandy have been Ocala residents for 30 plus years. |
